Chris Derbyshire
Co-Founder and Director
Chris served in the British Army for 18 years as an officer in the Royal Regiment of Artillery. Having excelled in roles within operations, training and procurement he has a unique understanding of delivering military capability across all lines of development.
He then worked for 10 years as a senior advisor to the UAE Presidential Guard and developed an internationally accredited, world class Joint Fires capability. During this time, he brought into service several multi-million USD systems, including Close Air Support and mortar simulators, working closely with industry to ensure that the demanding needs of the client were met.
Tim Grey
Co-Founder and Director
Tim served as a British Army officer over two periods from 1995 to 2011, initially in the Royal Corps of Signals and subsequently in the Educational and Training Services Branch of the Adjutant General’s Corps. He has excellent technical and academic credentials and a wealth of experience in learning and training development.
Over the last ten years, Tim analysed, designed and validated the UAE Joint Close Air Support training solution which was recognised as global best practice by the Joint Fires Support Executive Steering Committee.
Joseph McMahon
Director Security Affairs
Joe is a highly experienced senior consultant, with over 20 years in the security field. Having worked full-time with Control Risks, S-RM and other major security consultancies, Joe has provided services to a multitude of companies and organisations around the world spanning all industries including telecoms, oil and gas, banking and finance, construction, defence and government.
He has worked and travelled extensively in Africa, including in Mali, Congo, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, South Africa, Togo, Morocco and Egypt as well as all over the Middle East (including Oman), Southeast Asia and South America.
He is an ex-British Infantry Captain and a dual British/Swiss national. He speaks fluent French as well as intermediate Arabic and German.
